Cattleya is a small, warm and friendly restaurant with a bar, located 200m up the road from Charlton station.
It is locally known as “Chu & Cho”, which was its name since opening 6 years ago as a Spanish Tapas bar.
The new owner, Nittaya, has preserved the Tapas menu, much enjoyed by our regular customers, and added her own home-cooked Thai starters and main courses, creating the first Thai-Med ™ cuisine in the UK.
If you love hot and spicy, but your partner prefers European, then here is the ideal place for an evening out!

Our customers love the friendly, relaxed atmosphere as well as the quality and diversity of the food, and we often cater for parties as well.

Especially popular are our music nights on Sundays (phone to reserve a table!), when local musicians – some of them well known - come to play jazz, blues and light rock, all acoustic, not too loud!

We regularly change the menu and have daily special dishes. To complement the food we have a full range of drinks including draught beer and a sensibly-priced but good quality wine list.

And of course, we pride ourselves on our service (don’t all restaurants?) – in our case we really mean it – friendly and family – and we are family-friendly as well!
